The Old Blacksmith's forge located in Loughgeorge Claregalway will be open as part of Heritage Week tomorrow 28th and Sunday 29th August from 12noon to 3pm.
There will be one of the members of the local Historical Society on duty to answer any questions you may have and give a demonstartion of the forge.
The Forge was restored by the Society to its present state in 2008.

Announcing auditions for 9Arch Musical Socities production of THE KING AND I.
Auditions for roles in The King and I will be held in The Claregalway Hotel on Saturday 14th August 2010.
Childrens auditions (age 10-15) are from 2.30pm until 4pm. Adult auditions from 4pm to 6pm. Anyone who can't make the Saturday auditions, can come along on Sunday 15th August 2010 at 2.30pm, also in The Claregalway Hotel. |

 2010 Queen Emer McManus Claregalway Agricultural Show takes place this year on Sunday 22nd August, and will be held once again in Duffy's Equestrian Centre, Rockwood Claregalway.
The Show committee are celebrating their 20th Annual Show and have recently launched their website www.claregalwayagriculturalshow.ie
This has always been a great day's entertainment for entrants and spectators, with huge effort being made by the Show Committee. |

Claregalway U14 – Division 1 Féile Champions 2010 Triumphant Girl Panel
The Claregalway Ladies began their journey to Feile at 7.45am on Friday 2nd July with a lovely prayer from Fr Ian O Neill PP before embarking on the long journey to Greencastle in Tyrone where the team was being hosted by Sperrin Óg Football Club. The 1st match was against the host club and was played with a very strong breeze across the pitch.
Claregalway opened up the score and stayed well ahead all through the game conceding just one goal which was the only goal conceded throughout the entire Féile Finals. The final score 8-7 to 1-2. |
